Let me just start by saying, that I seriously DID NOT picture myself ever watching this show. In fact, I was that person that would roll my eyes whenever someone mentioned it. However, I found myself with nothing else to watch and decided to see what they hype was about…
OMG..is this not a beautiful show or what?! I take my eye rolling back!
I haven’t seen the second season yet, so it’s possible my list of fav characters may change. But I really like Kate, Randall & Jack. Oh, and Toby (he’s so sweet).
Who’s your favourite character? Do you watch the show? Tell me your thoughts!
** Spoiler Free**
I love that my 5 year old drew this for me.
OMG..who’s watched Season 2 of Stranger Things? I totally tried to space it out but instead of going to bed after work at 1am, I ended up binge watching it till 6am over the span of 3 days. Hello, Caffeine please!
To be perfectly honest, I had reservations as to how this one would play out. With the ways things ended in the first season, I thought: How can this one possibly beat that one? Or better yet, what can they possibly write about that would hold the viewers attention?
Clearly, I was not disappointed. I think I loved this season as much as the first, maybe even a tad more. If there was anything to criticize, was where Max & Billy fit into the picture. I get the whole new kid on the block thing, but I feel like there were pieces to the puzzle missing. As far as Billy goes, he’s just that guy that everyone hates. But the real question looming is: Was it just me? Or was he a racist SOB? Maybe he had a secret crush on his step-sister? I don’t know, it wasn’t quite clear to me. Regardless, I thought Dacre Montgomery did a great job playing his character. I really love it when an actor/actress can play a character you despise really well.
What did you think of this new season? Did you watch it yet? (If not, What the heck are you waiting for? Go watch it already!)
My Rating: 3/5
This was a show I had been wanting to watch ever since it aired, but never got around to until now. I figured I should read the book first, then watch the show. Which I did..last week. Right now, I’m on season 1, episode 5 (almost done). Let me just start by saying that reading the book first, is like a double edge sword. Had I not read it first, I might not have wanted to read it as much cause then I would have felt like I already know what happens. However, having already read the book, the book was hands down much better than the show. Don’t get me wrong. The show is good…just nowhere near as good as the book. The book, literally left me speechless. It was so good, it deserves a standing ovation.
To be honest, if it hadn’t been for the stellar Hollywood cast, I don’t think this series would have done as well as it had.
My issues with it:
• I feel like the portrayal of Madeleine & Renata’s rivalry was lacking. If I hadn’t read the book, I would have looked at Madeleine’s character in the show and thought “what the fuck is her problem?”
• They totally missed the boat with the struggle between Madeleine & Chloe, and why Madeleine hates her ex-husband (Nathan) so much.
• The tone..the tone throughout the show is quite melancholic.
• The cast (duh!)
• I love the light that is shed on domestic violence. In the show, Celeste & Perry’s relationship is the focal point of the story. A big round of applause to Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgard for bringing these characters to a new level by allowing yourselves to go through the emotions, and doing the physical scenes for real. Words can’t even express the appreciation.
For those who have seen the show, thoughts? How do you think it compares to the book?
Do you feel watching motion picture detracts from reading the book?
My Rating: 10/10
OMG..I think this is the movie of the year! I absolutely LOVED it. When I first saw the trailer, it gave me chills. I watched this last night with my hubby and kids, and everyone enjoyed it. The scene where Belle meets The Beast in the ballroom with her gold dress and they start dancing ..EPIC! I was so moved by that scene I nearly wanted to cry, and that NEVER happens!
I also loved how there were some backend stories added, like Belle’s mom. I could go on and on all day, but I don’t want to ruin it for those who haven’t seen it.
Personally, I really don’t see what the big deal is with people boycotting and petitioning to ban this movie. The so-called gay scenes were SOOO subtle my two young boys didn’t know any differently.
If you haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for? I highly recommend going to watch it.
Did you watch Beauty and The Beast? What did you think? Do you like the live version or cartoon better?
Isn’t that what you want? To find out who killed Wes and make them pay?
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything about TV, but I’ve been following this show religiously.
Did anyone catch Thursday night’s 2 hour finale? OMG..what a great way to end the season! (I know..I think I’ve said that about every season finale). They finally revealed who killed Wes. I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t caught up, but for weeks it’s been a toss up of: was it the Mahoneys? Was it Connor? Maybe it really was Annalise..
I knew there was going to be a twist, but I had no idea it was going to be who they revealed it was. I actually had my suspicions on Connor. At one point I even thought maybe Nate did it. Doh!
For those of you haven’t watched this show and love crime, mysteries or thrillers, you SO need to start watching this series.
Did catch this episode? What did you think? Who did you think murdered Wes?
Now with Stefan’s humanity turned off, he’s been trying to keep his ripper ways under control. But at the end of season 8, episode 8 The Ripper returns..
Do you think Stefan will be able to turn his humanity back on? Will him and Caroline make it to the alter?
What do you think?
*Caution: Major spoiler alert*
• Seline has kidnapped the twins and has plans to offer them to Cade, in exchange for her freedom. However, Sybil has her own plans.
• Enzo is at the mercy of Sybil’s mind control. Stefan tries to rescue him by going into his mind. Sybil agrees to let Enzo go in exhange for a meeting at a motel. Stefan must go alone to hear her offer.
• Seline & Sybil sumon Cade with the help of the twins.
•To keep the twins safe and free from harm, Stefan offers his immortal soul along with Damon’s to serve at Cade’s side. Of course, this puts a wedge between Stefan and Caroline’s plans to spend eternity together.
And here’s the real kicker..at the end of the episode, Matt & Alaric take Damon down. Alaric stakes Damon in the heart and he dies 😭 or did he?
What did you think of this episode? Do you think they really killed off Damon? Or was he just put to sleep like the vampires from The Originals?
The Secret Life of Pets
What really happens when pet owners leave their pets at home?
Omg. This movie was too cute! Being the pooch owner that I am, this one was a must see.
My rating: 10/10
What it’s about:
Max is a terrier who has a comfortable New York life with his owner Katie, until she adopts a large mutt named Duke.
While going for a walk at the park, the two dogs end up getting lost and wind up in an alley full ferocious cats and a truck headed for the pound. Luckily, a cute but rebellious bunny (Snowball) rescues them and in exchange, the duo must join his gang of misfit pets who were abandoned.
Perfect for all ages, especially if you’re a pet owner. My kids loved it. If you enjoyed Toy Story and other similar movies, you’ll definitely like this one.
Have you seen the movie? What did you think?
Do you like animated movies?

I had been looking forward to seeing this ever since word got out that Tim Burton was turning the book into a movie!
I’m a Tim Burton fan and had such high hopes for this movie. I’ve read the book and loved it, so I thought I’d share the same feelings for the movie. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I can’t believe I actually found this movie boring!
Was it just me, or did you think the same thing too?
Did you watch the movie or read the book? What did you think?
I finally had a chance to watch Suicide Squad.
My rating: 7/10
What it’s about:
A US intelligence officer (Viola Davis) rallies a team of incarcerated villains for a top-secret mission. Dead shot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Diablo, Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang and Katana must work together in order to save the world from a mysterious and very powerful being-the Enchantress. Meanwhile, Joker has a plan of his own.
The movie started off to be very promising with an excellent introduction to each villain. I’m not a big fan of Will Smith, but I thought he did a great job of pulling off his character. Harley Quinn was pretty much the main spotlight, but didn’t quite do it for me. I feel like she tried a little too hard. I loved her look though!
As for Joker..he had a good creepy factor to him, but I still think Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson made better Jokers. Sorry Jared..you didn’t quite cut it for me either. But he had excellent chemistry with Margot Robbie and somehow make Joker look sexy. Is that weird?Majority of the movie was quite good, but the ending was just all-around cheesy. Was this an action or romance movie?
What did you all think? Did you watch the movie? Who was your favourite villain?
What did you think of Jared Leto’s version Joker?
