Growin up, I’ve had the good fortune of eating some really good homecooked Italian food. So good, I tried convincing my friend’s nonna to adopt me. It’s so hard to find good authentic Italian cuisine, and of course, whenever you try replicating nonna’s recipe it never quite tastes the same. So when I stumbled across this book back when it was published (in 2006), and saw a recipe on how to make Italian ice cream (Gelato) and Tiramisu, I had to have it.
I’m almost ashamed to say it, but despite having this book for many years I’ve only attempted some of the recipes recently! I’m a big pasta lover, so my hubby decided to surprise me and the kids by making gnocchi. Not only was it delicious, but it was very easy to make..so my husband says. I’ve gone through some of the other recipes and found them to be tasty yet simple. If you love Italian food like I do, you would enjoy the recipes in this book. It’s an oldie but a goodie.
