Book Review: Harvest Moon

Harvest Moon by Tonya Coffey

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

All dreams have meanings.

Find the courage to decode them.

What it’s about:

For her eighteenth birthday, Jess’s’ dad buys her an old vintage trunk. In it, she finds two books-one which is gold with red swirling letters, and one titled Myths and other Legends.

Weird things have been happening, like crows circling the forest where she lives and the howling of wolves.  Not to mention, the strange dreams she’s been having.

Jessa slowly uncovers a world of faeries and is needed by her people in order to save them from trolls.  As heir to the throne, she is set to marry her guardian and future king.  But she finds herself attracted to another man.

My Review:

A good storyline with some great characters.  Even though I’m not much of a romance reader, I liked that there was a love triangle between Roderick and Micha.

I couldn’t help but stare, and when his eyes met mine, he took my breath away.

However, it was a bit slow and I found it took a long time to build the story.

Genre: YA fantasy

About the author: Tonya Coffey

Tonya grew up in a small town in Kentucky where she lives with her husband and two teen boys. Together, they motivate her to be the best at whatever she faces. If she isn’t writing or reading a fantasy novel with lots of action, you will find her sitting in front of a canvas, painting the landscape which is so abundant around her home.
